Here are all the books I read in the month of June! I hope y’all enjoy!
1. Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige
I gave this book a five star rating, because I loved everything about this book. The writing, the story, the characters, everything! It was an amazing read. If you wan’t to hear me elaborate on my rating go check out my review I did on this book.
2. Space Case by Stuart Gibbs
I gave this book a four star rating, because I felt at times there were some things that seemed unnecessary or they weren’t explained enough to have really meaning to be there. However, I did love this middle grade novel it was a fun read and if you would like to see my full review over this you can go check it out in the review sections of my blog.
3. The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury
I gave this book five stars, because I thought it was very well written and I loved the imagery used to describe the places and the people. This book took me to a whole new place and was amazing for a retelling. I haven’t read many retellings and I enjoyed this spin on the classic Aladdin. I will be posting the review on this book pretty soon so make sure you check it out!
4. Beowulf translated by Seamus Heaney
I gave this book a very low rating, because I found it boring and I felt like so much of it didn’t even make sense. That’s just my opinion, I had to read this novel for school.
5. Grendel by John Gardner
I gave this book a low rating as well, because I just didn’t enjoy it. I thought it was a little more interesting then Beowulf, but not by much. Once again I had to read this for school.
6. Zenith: The Androma Saga by Sasha Alsberg & Lindsay Cummings (e-book)
I gave this book a five star rating, because so far I love it. This is part one of Sasha’s and Lindsay’s new book and I think it’s very well written and I love everything about it. I love how the characters act and how this story is playing out so far. I suggest you go buy it on and e-reader you own haha.
7. Starflight by Melissa Landers
Okay so I gave this book five stars too…I might be a little too generous? I can’t help it this book was perfect I see no reason to give it a four! So maybe I’m not generous I just believe it truly deserved a five along with the other books I gave fives too…haha. Anyway I will be writing a review over this book, because I loved it too much not to!
8. No Place Like Oz by Danielle Paige
I loved this novella, it’s a quick and easy read and I enjoyed it very much! This novella gives you some insight on Dorothy so if you want you can go ahead and read it befre you read Dorothy Must Die, but I find you don’t have to. I gave this novella four stars because I felt it was a tad vague in some parts, but I still loved it!
