August Wrap-Up

Here all the books I read this month! I have school now so my tbr and wrap up for next month wont be as long as it has been, but I’ll try my best! Hope y’all enjoy!

1. Maus I by Art Spiegelman

Rating: 5/5 stars

I absolutely loved this graphic novel! I’ve been wanting it forever and I finally decided to buy both of them and fell in love instantly with the story it told and the art.

2. Maus II by Art Spiegelman

Rating: 5/5 stars

Like I said previously both of these graphic novels were amazing and I will definitely be reading them again in the future.

3. The Wicked Will Rise by Danielle Paige

Rating: 4/5 stars

I have a review up if you would like to see what I think about this book in more detail. I thought this book was good but not worth five stars. I just don’t think it was as good as the first book sadly.

4. The F*** It List by Julie Halpern

Rating: 4/5 stars

I also have a review up for this book if anyone would like to hear my more in depth opinion on this book. I thought this book was pretty good, but I wasn’t the biggest fan with how it seemed to end so quickly.

5. The Asylum Novellas by Madeleine Roux

Rating: 4/5 stars

These novellas were so captivating and they instantly pulled me in. The only reason I gave this book a four out of five stars was because I felt like they were a little too quick. I know they’re novellas and they’re supposed to be short, but I felt they didn’t explain enough. Still good overall though.

6. Asylum by Madeleine Roux

Rating: 4/5 stars

I’ve seen a lot of negative things about this book but I really liked it.  That may be because I love anything horror and despite this not really being horror to me I found it creepy. I’ve seen a lot of scary movies so it might be easier to paint a creepy picture in my head.

7. More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

Rating: 5/5 stars

This book was amazing and I’m so glad I got it! I was excited to read it, but I wasn’t expecting to get a book hangover from it! I also posted a spoiler free review about this book so definitely go check it out if you’re interested!

Those are all the books I read this month, so not too bad if you ask me! I did have school start this month so that took up some time, but I’m hoping next month I will do just as good since I’ll be getting used to the school workload. I hope y’all enjoyed seeing my progress this month!
