Welcome to Nine Pines

“Burning a man alive is wholesome entertainment for the entire family. You’re goddamned Disney.” ~Welcome to Nine Pines

Welcome to Nine Pines by August Birch: 4/5 stars

My Review:

This is going to be a mini review so I didn’t put the synopsis and  this will be pretty short, but I hope y’all enjoy.

Welcome to Nine Pines is a collection of short stories about all the crazy and dark things that happen in this fictional town. Each chapter focuses on a different character in Nine Pines and shows just how twisted this town really is.

I loved this collection of short stories. One of the best parts is you can get this e-book for free! FREE! If that’s not amazing I don’t know what is. I’ll leave the link down at the bottom so everyone can check it out!

Anyway, I loved the characters and how different each of them were. They’re all mysterious and strange. I haven’t read a lot of dark thrillers and I definitely should, because this was incredible. The characters are so different from most characters I see in books that it just caught my attention right away. I also love how short and to the point the stories are. I like long and drawn out, but I’m also a fan of short and simple. August Birch like to keep things to the point and I think it helps add to the whole thriller and mysterious feeling the book gives off. The characters seem pretty normal and you get to see just how twisted they are and Birch does such an amazing job at this. He has such a great writing style it really just captures you and drags you in!

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a short read and loves dark thrillers! The short stories kept me guessing and wondering about each of the characters and it definitely left me wanting more! I’m very glad I stumbled upon August Birch’s Instagram page, because that’s how I found out about this book. I say everyone gives this book a read because honestly you have nothing to lose. This book is great for anyone looking for something short, simple, and thrilling!

I know this review is short, but I hope y’all enjoyed it. If y’all want a copy of this book for yourself click here!
