Hey y’all! I haven’t done a book tag in ages and I saw The Disney Princess Tag over on Of Stacks and Cups and figured it would be the perfect time to do a tag! Anyway, let’s go ahead and start this tag! 😀
1. Snow White- Name your favorite classic!
I’m going to have to go with The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I read this book this year and I loved it! I really loved the writing style and just found the story to be very interesting. I’m not sure if everyone considers this book a classic but I do. 🙂
2. Cinderella- Name a book that kept you reading well past your bedtime
I love to read at night and this book was definitely one that kept me up late! Debt of Fear by Michael Reid Jr was a very crazy and exciting read that’s full of action. I have the e-book version so I was definitely able to stay up a little later than I normally do haha.
3. Aurora- Name your favorite classic romance
I chose Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare because I don’t read a lot of classics expecially romances. I have a few I need to read still like Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. Hopefully I’ll get to those soon haha.
4. Ariel- Name a book that’s about making sacrifices and fighting for your dreams
I chose this book because you follow two hockey players that also find out they’re brothers. The have to make some hard sacrifices as they also work hard to accomplish their dreams as hockey goalies. I loved this book it has so much adventure in it!
5. Belle- Name a book with a smart and independent female character
I think When Dimple Met Rishi is a perfect example of a smart and independent character. I know some people think women cant be independent if they fall in love, but I find that to be very untrue and this book is a perfect example. You can need someone and love someone and still be independent. Dimple is such a smart character that didn’t know she was in love at first but she didn’t let that stop her from pursuing her dreams and goals.
6. Jasmine- Name a book with a character who challenged the social conventions of his or her world
I wasn’t sure which book to choose for this at first so I really had to think about it and I came up with Behind Broken Glass Walls by N.M. Aaroones. This book is about a mother who has to deal with the pain of knowing her daughter was the one holding the gun during a school shooting. It is so emotional to watch this mother struggle with the love she will always posses for her daughter along with the pain of knowing she could be so cruel. She had to show the world that her daughter isn’t the monster they think. You can read my review here!
7. Pocahontas- Name a book whose ending was a roller-coaster of emotions
Of course I had to choose this book! This whole novel was a roller-coaster of emotions!! The ending tore me apart and I still think about this book because I just love it so much! That’s why it was a five-star read for me. You can read my review here. 🙂 Anyway, the ending was full of so much action, heartbreak, and power. I just believe that this book’s characters were so easy to fall in love with and seeing them go through such a journey only made everything happen play with my emotions more.
8. Mulan- Name a book with a kick-ass female character
I chose Fei from Soundless because if I was in her shoes I don’t think I would have had the guts to fight for her village. She was so fearless and selfless and wasn’t afraid of what she had to do if it meant saving her sister and helping her town. She risked so much all for others.
9. Tiana- Name a book featuring a hard working, self-made character
I’ve read quite a bit of books with hardworking characters and since this book is still fresh on my mind I chose it. Anne is the one chose to investigate the strange virgin girl Kathleen. Anne is a woman who graduated from Harvard and did everything she can to get there and she worked very hard for her job and to be who she is. You can read my review here! 😀
10. Rapunzel- Name a book that features an artist
In this book Tegan and the man she slowly falls for are both singers and they play a few different instruments. This book is so cute and it’s perfect for Summer! Read it before summer ends! 😦 Also, here’s my review on it! Oh, also this book has real songs written by Dallas Coryell himself that you can listen to on YouTube while reading!! As if this book wasn’t good enough! :p
11. Merida- Name a book that features a mother daughter relationship
There Is No Dog does feature a mother daughter relationship even if it’s not the main thing in the story. It’s still mentioned a couple of times as Lucy struggles with love and the destruction caused by the guy she thinks she loves.
12. Anna and Elsa- Name a book that features a great relationship between siblings
I wasn’t sure what book to choose first and as I was looking through my books I remembered this one! Lucky Strikes shows an amazing relationship between siblings. Amelia and her siblings struggle to make ends meet and after the death of their mother and the lack of a father figure Amelia has to step in and be the parent. She’s far too young but she would do anything to keep her siblings safe. Click here for my review on this book! 🙂
Anyway, that’s all I have for the Disney Princess Book Tag! I hope y’all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed doing it! I tag anyone who would like to give this a try!! It was really fun! ❤
