The Friday 32: #10

Happy Friday! So The Friday 32 is a post I do every Friday where I turn to page 32 in a book and I pick a quote. I either talk about the book or the quote, but you don’t have to. Let’s just get started shall we?

“I repeat his words in my head. What’s going on? What’s going on? Oh, well, since you asked, I got a bunch of tapes in the mail today from a girl who killed herself. Apparently, I had something to do with it. I’m not sure what that is, so I was wondering if I could borrow your Walkman to find out.”

Thirteen Reasons Why. I honestly did not like this book. I tried to like it and I was so excited to read it, but I just did not enjoy it. To me it felt way over-hyped. I liked the Netflix show though….only because it was pretty darn different!

Have y’all read this book? What did you think about it? Did you think it was over-hyped? Comment below because I am very curious. 🙂

I read this book sometime this year, but I don’t remember if I bought it this year or not….I have such a bad memory. I gave this book three stars, but I was just so disappointed because everyone had been raving about this book and how it was a five-star read and I just didn’t have that same experience. It’s always disappointing when you get your hopes up and don’t enjoy the book.

Of course you can purchase the book by clicking the picture and if you wanna chat just comment below! ❤ Have a great Friday

  1. I totally love the idea of ‘The Friday 32′!
I read ’13 Reasons Why’ probbaly a week before the series started on Netflix. I really liked it tho. I didn’t love it like most of the readers did but I really liked it. I think it had a very good message inside.
The series was amazing too. It was great to see what they made out of the book. At first I didn’t really like that the series was totally different from the book but looking back it made sense how they did it. 🙂

    1. Yeah I agree. I liked the message of the book too, but I just wasn’t that big of a fan of the book as a whole. I was very annoyed that they didn’t make it like the book, but then I realized it wouldn’t be that good because they wouldn’t have been able to make hour long episodes haha

    aboutthe book.
i aimlessly picked this book maybe 4 years ago? honestly when i read the synopsis i thought it was an horror book, lmao, i didn’t know it was that depressive and sad.
i loved it when i first read it, but ever since it became a show, i dont know why my unpopular opinions instincts kicked in and i absolutely hated it! haha i dont know why but it was super sad, and i get really affected with books i read, so i changed my opinion. also i automatically hate any over hyped book!

    1. I know what you mean! I thought this book would be better than it was, in my opinion. I like reading books about mental health, but I just wasn’t fond of this one like I thought I would be
