January Wrap-Up

Here are all the books I read in January!! It wasn’t too bad of a reading month for me, but not as good as I was hoping. 🙂

love and gelato

1. Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch

Rating: 3/5 stars

This book was cute and it wasn’t a bad book, but it was predictable and it just didn’t stick in my mind as much when I was done with it. However, I did enjoy this book. It’s definitely more of a summer read though.

church of marvels

2. Church of Marvels by Leslie Parry

Rating: 4/5 stars

I don’t read a lot of historical fiction, but this was a pretty good book. It was very slow starting out and I almost didn’t read it because it wasn’t very interesting, but then the book really began to pick up. Once it started to pick up it just got better and better and that’s what saved this book for me.

3. Broken Pride by Erin Hunter

Rating: 4/5 stars

This book was so cute and very interesting! It was never boring to me and I love books told from animal’s perspectives. It had some good twists in it, nothing too unexpected, but I still liked them. I love reading middle grade as you all know by now, so I’m not surprised that I liked this book. Just gotta buy the second one now!

mush! sled dogs with issues

4. Mush!: Sled Dogs With Issues by Glenn Eichler and Hoe Infurnari

Rating: 4/5 stars

This was a quick and easy read which was why I picked it up. It was funny and different from graphic novels I’ve read in the past. I really liked the humor in this book and the writing style. I also loved the artwork in this book, it was different but pretty good.

everyone's a aliebn when ur a aliebn too.jpg

5. Eveyone’s a Aliebn When ur a Aliebn too by Jonny Sun

Rating: 5/5 stars

I loved this book! It was a quick read and it’s such a cute and silly book! I could definitely see myself reading this book again it was just so great! I love how silly and funny it is. It just adorable!

A noble woman.jpg

6. A Noble Woman: The Life-Story of Edith Cavell by Earnest Protheroe

Rating: 3/5 stars

This book was okay. I’m not one for older books, but I’l listen to them on audio. I thought this one was pretty interesting and had a good story, but like often times classics and such can get a little confusing and I can get lost haha. Other than that it wasn’t too bad.

My reading month wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be. It’s okay though I’ll make up for it eventually. I’m not sure what my TBR for next month will look like and it’s kind of stressing me out because I have books I need to read and review and I still haven’t done that. I’m ashamed of myself as a reader.
