March Wrap-Up

Here are all the books I read in the month of March! I hope y’all enjoy! Comment below with some of the books you read! 🙂

doll eyes

1. Doll Eyes by Jessyca Thibault

Rating: 5/5

I loved this book of poetry! It’s by one of my favorite Bookstagramers! She’s always been super sweet to me so I was so excited to see she wrote a book. I loved it so much! I was able to relate to some of the things she said as well. I also loved seeing her open up and show the world some personal things. 🙂 ❤

juliet takes a breath

2. Juliet Takes a Breath by Gabby Rivera

Rating: 1/5 stars

This just wasn’t the book for me y’all. I have a review that does contain some spoilers here, if y’all are interested in checking that out. This is a very diverse read, no doubt, but I just didn’t love it like I thought I would. I found Juliet to be an annoying and flat character and the story didn’t have too much depth to it. Oh well. It happens sometimes haha.

3. Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Rating: 3.5/5 stars

I liked this book but I still wasn’t blown away like I was hoping. I thought it was a little more interesting than Illuminae though. I just feel like this series is over hyped or maybe it’s just me who doesn’t seem to enjoy it as much. I mean I thought this one was interesting and cool, but nothing overly special.

4. Aaru by David Meredith

Rating: 2.5/5 Stars

My full review for this book is here! Anyway, I didn’t love or hate this book which is why I gave it a 50/50 rating. I loved his writing style, but I just didn’t fall in love with the story. I think there were certain things done really well, but I also think other things could have been done better. Definitely check out my full review if you wanna know my in-depth thoughts about this book.

5. The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

Rating: 3.5/5 stars

I liked this book, but I didn’t find myself in love with it. It took me a while to remember everything that was going on because it’s been about a year since I’ve read The 5th Wave so obviously that could have an effect on the rating, but I’m not one to reread books. Just don’t like to. Anyway, I just didn’t find myself surprised with this book. There were twists that were good but they didn’t seem to surprise me too much. It left me feeling kind of disconnected to the book.

sweet blooms

6. Sweet Blooms by Dean Hodel

Rating: 1/5 stars

You can read my full review here! I wasn’t a fan of this book. I was excited for this book and disappointed when I actually read it, but yanno it happens. I think this book would have been so much better if the characters and the plot were developed more.

off your digital detox to a better life

7. Off: Your Digital Detox for a Better Life by Tanya Goodin

Rating: 4/5 stars

My full review for this book is here!! 🙂 I liked this book. It had some really good tips and it was also eye-opening. It’s not trying to cut technology out of life completely it just helps shift your focus to help you not depend on technology so much! I really liked it. 🙂

downward dog

8. Downward Dog: Very Serious Haiku From a Very Serious Dog by Samm Hodges and Phinehas Hodges

Rating: 2.5/5 stars

My review for this book is here!! I didn’t love this book or hate this book. It was still a cute book though. It’s super quick and only takes about five minutes to read! It was a cute break but I didn’t find it to be anything too special.

The Last Star

9. The Last Star by Rick Yancey

Rating: 3.5/5 stars

I thought this series was good but I wasn’t crazy about it. I didn’t fall in love with it like a lot of people have. I thought there were some good twists in the story and it was written well, but it’s just didn’t blow me away. Still good books though.

simon vs the homosapiens agenda

10. Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Rating: 3/5 stars

I got this book from Barnes & Noble since I had a gift card and I’m not 100% sure what I think. I didn’t fall in love with this book like everyone else, but I didn’t hate this book either. That seems to be a trend this month. I think this book was kind of over hyped..I found Simon to be kind of….annoying? Maybe it’s just me. Anyway, I’ll be working on a full review for this book!

I hope y’all enjoyed seeing my March Wrap-Up! I wish I read more books that I loved, but there’s nothin’ I can do about it haha. April will be better though! 🙂 What are some books y’all read this month? Comment below! ❤
