Another Update!

It’s been a while! I’ve been so busy and it’s absolutely crazy! I graduated on Wednesday which was amazing. I was valedictorian of my class which made me happy. 🙂 I got Thursday to finally rest and then on Friday I started my IOE.

An IOE is an Initial Operating Experience. It’s basically just inflight training to make sure you know what to do when you’re actually in the air.

Here I am in my uniform haha

It was very terrifying to have to actually do service and to remember everything they told me, because it’s real now and not just some test I did in front of my classmates. Once I actually started to be a flight attendant it wasn’t nearly as bad as they made it seem. It was still a little scary, but you just have to throw on a smile and hope nothing goes wrong haha.

Anyway, my IOE got extended because one of my trips got cancelled, which means I didn’t have enough hours. You have to at least have 5 IOE hours. So, I was back in Arizona waiting for my next IOE trip which was on the 21st. That was supposed to be my training to be able to work on a different plane, but that had to be pushed back. So, now my training to work on this other plane is on the 26th. I’ll be going home on the 28th as long as everything goes as planned haha.

So, obviously I passed my IOE which is great because I was really nervous for that. Now I’m just slowly trying to organize my life and try to get things under control again. I haven’t been reading much or working out as much so I’m slowly trying to get back into that and figure out my life. It’s a work in progress haha, but I expected this.

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting but things have just been so chaotic. Once I get things figured out and get used to this big step I’m taking in my life I’ll be back to posting regularly. 🙂 Thanks for understanding everyone! ❤

  1. Congrats! That all sounds so exciting and I’m really curious to hear more about the experience of being a flight attendant! I was on a plane twice this last week for travel and it reminded me how fascinated I am by that job (and pilots! That always seems scary-crazy to me too)
