So, I told y’all I would start talking about my favorite team and here I am! Who’s ready to talk some hockey?!?
So, the Stars just finished the preseason which means the 2018-2019 season is officially starting! The Stars had a pretty good preseason winning four out of seven games. The first game of the Stars’ season was on the 4th. The Stars managed to pull out a 3-0 win against the Arizona Coyotes.
Ben Bishop played a great game in net for us hence the shutout, which was also his 25th career shutout. The first period had some good scoring opportunities, but was uneventful. The second period, however, was when it got good. Devin Shore was the first one to get the Stars on the board by scoring a beautiful goal 4 minutes and 21 seconds into the second period. Devin managed to get the puck from his skate onto his stick and slip it by Antti Raanta, the Coyotes goaltender. Radek Faksa and Connor Carrick helped Devin out a little meaning they both get a point for assisting.

Our next goal was from Alexander Radulov, 4 minutes and 29 seconds into the second period, so a pretty quick pair of goals. He managed to squeak it past Raanta after sneaking by the defencemen. It wasn’t the most beautiful goal but it was a goal nonetheless. Connor had a good game seeing as he got another assist for Radulov’s goal as did Jamie Benn.

Our final goal was from the talented John Klingberg who scored the goal 5 minutes and 57 seconds into the second period. So, all the goals were pretty close together and they were all in the second period, which meant Ben Bishop had a lot of work to do in the third because Dallas was feeling good about their 3 goal lead and wasn’t as strong in the third. Anyway, Klingberg had a nice goal going on the far side of Raanta’s blocker. The captain, Jamie Benn, helped Klingberg so he gets another point for his assist. Esa Lindell also gets an assist for Kingberg’s goal.

No goals in the third for either team which means the goalies were pretty busy haha. Ben had some really good saves as did his goal posts. Ben ended up with a total of 30 shots and 30 saves. Overall it was a pretty good game. The Stars may have gotten a little too confident in the third but overall they were pretty strong and showed the fans a good home-opener.
Sorry, this isn’t the best, but I tried haha. Have a wonderful day y’all!
