I found this post on Thrice Read so go check out their blog!
What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?
Recently it seems I can go quite a while without picking up a book. Work keeps me pretty busy, hence why I’m pretty far behind schedule.
How many books do you carry on your person (or Kindle) at any one time?
Well I have a lot of books on my Kindle haha. Right now I have 3 books with me, but I try to carry at least one or two at all times.
Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?
I usually get rid of books I didn’t like or know I won’t read.
How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?
It depends on if I know what I want or not. If I go to the bookstore with a plan then I’ll spend probably 10 minutes in there. If I just wanna browse then I’ll spend 45+ minutes in the bookstore haha.
How much time per day do you actually spend reading?
I’m assuming this means for pleasure and not reading things like this blog haha. I don’t spend much time reading. I used to spend hours reading, but work has made me cut that back a lot. I’m trying to make sure I read a little every day though.
Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?
In the morning or at night..sometimes both if I’m feeling courageous.
How many books do you reckon you own in total (including E-books)?
Maybe around 150? Maybe more now haha.
Approximately how often do you bring up books in a conversation?
I don’t really think I talk about books with others that much…but maybe other people would say otherwise haha.
What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?
600 pages or so from the Illuminae Files books.
Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds i.e. searching bookshops, online digging, etc.?
No not really…If I don’t find it in the store I’ll just order it online.
A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?
Any classics XD I’m not a huge fan of classics. I don’t DNF books either because then I feel bad.
What are 3 of your main book goals for 2018?
I don’t know anymore haha. To have fun reading, not worry about reaching my GoodReads goal, and to read good books haha.
Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?
Not that I know of.
Describe what books mean to you in five words.
Escape, joy, fun, knowledge, and stimulating.
I hope y’all enjoyed this post!! ❤ Have a wonderful day!
