I can’t believe how fast this year has been going. It’s just crazy to me haha. I’m also really tired right now so it’s gonna be harder coming up with something to write about that I love.
For today’s love themed post I’m gonna talk about….ummmmm the morning. So, I know you’re probably confused by what I mean haha. I love my mornings/morning routine so I guess I’ll talk about it. 🙂
If I’m honest my morning routine isn’t consistent and it changes a lot haha. That’s just life though. So, just be aware that my morning routine could be different next week haha. I try to be consistent but it doesn’t always work out for me. Also, my morning routine changes based on if I have work or not.
So, I guess I’ll start with what a regular morning looks like for me if I don’t have work. Since my sleep schedule is already messed up beyond repair (thanks to work) so I don’t actually wake up at a certain time or go to bed at a certain time. I try to keep it all within 8 hours of sleep…but some days I’m pretty tired and sleep in later. So honestly some days I could wake up at 7 a.m. or 12 a.m. it really just depends.
Anyway, let me think. So when I first wake up I usually thank God and then I’ll sit there or get on my phone. I get on my phone to help me wake up more…I know a lot of people say it’s bad but in the morning I’m too tired to care haha. After I feel I can get out of bed which usually only takes like ten minutes I’ll go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. Sometimes I hold off on brushing my teeth until after breakfast but that’s kind of rare since I’m not a breakfast person. After brushing my teeth I’ll drink some water and get dressed to workout. I know it’s so much fun haha.
Honestly, my workouts change a lot depending on what I feel like doing so I can’t really give specifics for that. I just look up workouts online or on YouTube. All my workouts at the moment are bodyweight, or no equipment workouts. I don’t have any weights at the moment so oh well. It’s okay though since I’m just now starting up again.
After a workout I stretch for 10 minutes. Not always that fun because I’m not flexible…hence the stretching. I just started doing it every day to help with my flexibility. Y’all will find out why eventually. 😉 I’m just so spontaneous haha. I’ll grab a protein bar for breakfast after I’m all limber haha. Like I said I’m not a breakfast person, but if I’m still really hungry I’ll get something else to eat too.
Okay let me think what I do next…after my stretching I’ll usually make my bed because I’m too lazy to do it in the morning first thing when I wake up. After a workout I’m more awake so I don’t mind making it as much haha. I don’t know why I don’t like making my bed…I think it’s because I have to move the mattress away from the frame so I can tuck the comforter down. I don’t know but that annoys me a lot haha.
I know y’all probably think I’m gross because I don’t shower after a workout but I weigh nothing and I don’t sweat a lot. I’ll only shower if I feel like it’s warranted. I promise I’m not all smelly after a workout. My workouts aren’t super intense either since I’m starting out and I don’t want to overdo it. 🙂 I promise I don’t stink haha.
After making my bed, depending on how I feel, I’ll make tea or coffee and then I’ll grab my laptop and sit in bed while either blogging or reading blogs. Sometimes I’ll start binge watching YouTube videos which can get pretty bad and be a downward spiral that’s hard to get out of haha. Oh, I forgot to mention that I let Cali (‘my’ cat) into my room after a workout and then I’ll give her some treats. She’s just so cute. I don’t like her being in my room when I’m trying to workout though haha.
So, on a day that I don’t have work I usually have errands I gotta go run so I’ll go do that after blogging and stuff. After I’m done running around I’ll go see my boyfriend or he’ll come see me. 🙂
Soooooo on a work day my morning can be all messed up. I can have work anywhere from 4 a.m. to I don’t know 8 p.m….maybe even later. I usually have work pretty early though…well earlyish. Never set in stone so it changes all the time.
So, if I have work super early and let’s say I gotta wake up at 4 a.m. then I’ll thank God and I’ll just get up. No just sitting in bed trying to wake up a little more haha. I’ll go brush my teeth and then do my makeup. Oh, and I always make a cup of coffee when it’s that early haha. After makeup I’ll put on my work clothes and then make sure I have everything packed and head to work. I’ll do the rest of my routine once we land, because I don’t have the time since there’s no way I’m waking up even earlier haha.
If work starts later in the day then I’ll usually do the same type of routine minus the binge watching YouTube and running errands. It depends how much time I have before work though. I guess my morning routine really isn’t too different when I have work..well it can be haha. Sometimes I’ll wake up and actually go get breakfast, but not a lot. I’ve also been thinking about using the fitness centers they have in the hotels, but at the moment I haven’t built up the courage to use one yet. Oh well…one day!!
