Hey y’all. A little bit of a sad post. The other day there was a plane crash and right now there doesn’t seem to be any survivors. There were three pilots on that plane and they’re still searching for the bodies. I’ve read that only one body has been found. Two of the pilots were our own. One was a current pilot for my company and one was a former pilot. It’s pretty tough to hear…I didn’t know them very well but it hurts knowing that families have been broken so suddenly. By the way they were on a cargo plane which is why there were only 3 people (the pilots) aboard.
Every day we go in the air we risk our lives…but we do it for others. As a flight attendant I do it to make sure you get to where you need to go safely as do pilots. Cargo pilots risk their lives making sure people get their deliveries. So, next time you’re on a plane…make sure you tell the crew you appreciate them, because you never know what they may be dealing with. I’m still working making sure everyone gets to their destination while still knowing that there are two pilots that still haven’t been found. I can’t imagine what their families are going through and I’m praying for them. They will all be greatly missed… 😦
No one said this would be an easy job…and sometimes moments like this bring back the reality that every day could be the last. Live every single day like it’s your last because you never know what can happen. Let the people in your life know how much you love them…don’t take them for granted. And don’t take the people who are assisting you for granted either. That man/woman making your coffee…seriously thank them or compliment them. That janitor that empties the trash…let them know you appreciate them. Let it be known how much you appreciate the things others do…let them know they’re loved.
I love you all and I appreciate the comments and the likes. Make sure you spread some love today…and everyday after that.
