Here are all the books I read in April!
1. Our House by Louise Candlish
Rating: 4/5 Stars
You can read my full spoiler-free review here. I enjoyed this book and the story. I felt that it stayed pretty interesting the whole time and had some pretty good twists that I wasn’t expecting. It was written pretty well and I’m glad I finally finished it. 🙂
2. The Past And Other Things That Should Stay Buried by Shaun David Hutchinson
Rating: 2.5/5 Stars
So, like I always say when I give a book 2.5 stars that doesn’t mean I hated it! It’s a 50/50 book meaning it wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either. Anyway, I thought this book sounded interesting and come on the cover is awesome, but I wasn’t very impressed with this book. I feel like there were some political things that the author didn’t need to bring up but did anyway. I also felt like there wasn’t really a lot that happened throughout the book…nothing that was suspenseful or made me feel like I couldn’t put the book down. It wasn’t a bad book though…I just wish it was done better.
3. Hunting Annabelle by Wendy Heard
Rating: 3/5 Stars
My full spoiler-free review is here. I actually liked this dark book. It was completely different from other thrillers I’ve read and it did a really good job of keeping my attention. 🙂 I’m glad I finally got to it. The writing was good and I enjoyed the plot as well. I’m still not 100% sure how I feel about the ending but it was different and it honestly wasn’t what I was expecting. Good book with a good twist. 🙂
This was a really good reading month for me…at least towards the end of it. I know you probably think I’m crazy since I only read 3 books, but I haven’t felt like reading this much in a while. I am so happy to have my reading motivation back. I can’t wait for next month to see if I read a lot of books. 🙂 I’m just so excited to read again and it’s been a long time since I’ve had this same level of excitement. 😀
I hope all of y’all had an awesome month! Comment below one of your favorite reads of April. Also, how is it already May????
Planning to read our house soon.
