Here are the books I read in June 🙂
1. Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott with Mikki Daughtry & Tobias Iaconis
Rating: 4/5 Stars
This book hit me hard in the feels if we’re honest. It was such a cute read though. Didn’t feel like a five-star read, but it was still really good. I stayed up late in the night reading it that’s for sure. It’s a really cute book with some sad twists that broke my heart, but I would definitely recommend it. 🙂
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5/5 Stars
I kept the rating the same because I didn’t have any complaints about this book. Obviously, it wasn’t as exciting since I already knew how it was gonna end, but I still enjoyed it. 🙂 Still a good read that I recommend. 😀
3. 90 Packets of Instant Noodles by Deb Fitzpatrick
Rating: 1/5 Stars
I didn’t enjoy anything about this book. From page one to the beginning I just didn’t like this book. I got so bored with it and it felt like such a chore to read. Super disappointed about it. I just can’t get myself to DNF a book though so I pushed through and finished it….bleh.
4. The Shack by William Paul Young
Rating: 4/5 Stars
So, I didn’t realize that people either love this book or hate it. I read some of the other reviews and boy oh boy a lot of people hate this book. I love this book and the movie. I think there are so many things to take away from it…it may not be perfect theology wise, but I think it does a really great job with a lot of things people question. I just thought this book was really touching and I liked a lot of what it had to say.
So, this month didn’t go as well as I planned but I also had some pretty bad things happen so I lost interest in reading. Hopefully, next month is better. I’m still struggling with some things but I’ll be okay. I’ll try to find that spark again and kick July’s butt. 🙂
