Recent Book Purchase

So, I decided to buy a few books yesterday but I’ll only be talking about one. It took me a hot minute to come up with something to talk about for today’s post but I decided this might be a fun topic.

Yesterday I decided to buy the classic Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens! If you’ve followed my blog for a while or know me then you’ll know I’m not a fan of classics. To be honest the language usual confuses me and I’ve always had to read them for school which takes all the joy out of reading them. I decided to buy this book yesterday to help me enjoy classics more. I figured I would give it a try and read it at my own pace. In the past when I’ve read classics I would often try to rush through them and that doesn’t work. I’m gonna give classics a chance and hopefully expand my reading even more. 🙂

Have any of y’all read this book?? If so what did you think? What’s your favorite classic? 😀 Please comment below a classic I should read next!!

I don’t exactly know when I’ll start this book. I’m thinking I’ll start it next month though. 🙂 Buying books always puts me back into a reading mood which is exactly what I needed. I’ve been so slow with my reading. Hopefully, now I’ll finish the books I planned for this month haha.

I would have to say that the only classic I enjoy is The Great Gatsby. However, I would love to give To Kill A Mockingbird another shot, because I did enjoy that book when I read it for school. I have a feeling if I got the chance to read it without taking notes/annotating that I would enjoy it more now. 🙂

Anyway, here’s my shortish post for today. I hope y’all enjoyed it! Don’t forget to comment below!

I’m gonna try to be more active on my blog. I know I say that all the time, but I’m gonna try. I feel bad that my blog has kind of gone down this year because I haven’t been posting or interacting with y’all. I’ll try my best to change that. ❤ Have a wonderful day y’all!! ❤ ❤
