Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren

Rating: 4/5 Stars

Synopsis:

Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon’s moved to New York City and is looking for excitement and passion without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night’s fun. But the manner—and speed—with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows that Max Stella loves women, not that he’s ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it’s not until Sara—and the wild photos she lets him take of her—that he starts wondering if there’s someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

My Review:

This will be a spoiler free review.

So, this book is book two in the Beautiful Bastard series and technically you could read it as a stand-alone, but it’s better to read them in order since it all connects in a way. If you’ve read this series then you understand.

Anyway, I really liked this book. I loved these characters even more than Chloe and Bennett haha. I think this book was even better than the first one. I absolutely fell in love with Sara and Max and their crazy fun relationship. I was hooked on them from the very beginning.

This book is so steamy but so sweet at the same time. I think Christina lauren does such an incredible job with her writing that made this book just so incredible. The description and the characters were stunning and I loved watching them grow closer together while they faced some of their own demons, especially Sara.

I just really loved both Max and Sara. I think the way their relationship started was incredibly crazy and fun. I love how their relationship grew into something more. I loved that this book didn’t feel similar to the first one, that it was completely a different romance but still super sexy and fun.

I think the only think I didn’t care for in this book was a little scene towards the end…not that it ruined the book for me or anything I just felt like it was just a little unnecessary, but hey it all worked out and I still really enjoyed this book. I had no clue I would like erotica so much but these books have me hooked. I love how sexy they are but also how romantic and sensual they can be. I think Lauren does a great job at balancing those two things.

This book just didn’t give me five-star vibes and that’s the only reason I gave it four stars haha. I still really enjoyed this book and I’m excited to keep going in the series.

I know this is a really quick and short review but I really don’t want to give anything away in this book just in case you’re interested in reading the series. 🙂 I definitely recommend this book and the series so far. 🙂 I listened to this book on Scribd and wow! It was done really well an much better than the first book’s audiobook. I definitely recommend it! 🙂
