So, my dad is visiting me and we went to Barnes & Noble and I decided to just go ahead and buy some books. It’s either all or nothing haha either I don’t buy any books or I buy all the books I’ve been dying to buy haha. I’m pretty excited for these books though some of them have been on my TBR for a long time.
1. My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
2. The Southern Book Club’s Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
I just realized this is by the same author haha maybe it’ll be a new favorite author! Hopefully I don’t dislike Hendrix’s novels since I just bought these two.
3. 1984 by George Orwell
I was recommended this book so I decided to go ahead and buy it while I was already in the mood to drop some money on books haha. It’s a classic so that means I’ll be taking it slow for sure, but I’m hoping I’ll like it. 🙂
4. Shadow Of The Gods by John Gwynne
So, this isn’t a typical read for me but a Booktuber was talking about it and the only reason I’m interested is because she said it’s pretty dark and gnarley and that’s right up my alley. The Booktuber is Ragen over at PeruseProject. I’m not big into fantasy but she said this book was really good and it sounds really interesting to me so I’m excited to give it a shot.
5. Falling by T.J. Newman
I’v been dying to read this book! As a flight attendant and this book being written by a flight attendant…well I have high hopes for it. She clearly knows the industry so I definitely think this book is gonna be good because she knows the reality of it rather than just a general idea. I am so excited for this book!
6. The Girl With The Hickory Heart by Lauren Nicolle Taylor
This is a NetGalley read. I’ve been in the mood for a fantasy…not sue why but I saw this book on NetGalley and it also happened to be an instant approval so I figured I’ll give it a read. 🙂 Seems like a fun book. I plan on getting to it in August. 🙂
That’s the book haul! I hope y’all enjoyed it! 🙂 I need to chill on buying books for a while now haha. I’m super excited for these books though! Y’all will probably see some of these on my August TBR!
