Horimiya Vol. 1

Horimiya Vol. 1 by Hero

A sweet “aww”-inspiring tale of school life begins!!At school, Kyouko Hori is known for being smart, attractive, and popular. On the other hand, her classmate, the boring, gloomy Izumi Miyamura tends to get painted as a “loser fanboy.” But when a liberally pierced and tattooed (not to mention downright gorgeous) Miyamura appears unexpectedly on the doorstep of secretly plain-Jane homebody Hori, these two similarly dissimilar teenagers discover that there are multiple sides to every story…and person!

My Review:

This was a very fun manga! I absolutely loved the art style in this one. 🙂

I’m definitely interested to see how the romance blossoms. It seems very cute so far and I really like all the characters and how silly they can be. I like how things have happened so far between the characters and how they’ve all slowly grown. 🙂 It’s only the first one but I am enjoying it so far.

Surprisingly it felt slightly slow to me. I’m not sure if maybe I’m slowly heading into a reading slump or if it actually kind of slow haha. Normally I can finish manga fast but this time I would pick it up and put it down constantly.  I do enjoy it though maybe it’s a mix of a reading slump and the manga being kinda slow.

Overall I would recommend this manga. I think it’s fun and so far it’s cute. I definitely like the charcaters in it so I think that’s another reason I love it so much. I mean it’s not a perfect manga and the “problems” in it are kinda silly like Hori not wanting anyone to ever see her without makeup and being horrified when Miyamura does. However, I can’t say I’m surprised haha..I’ve noticed manga can be like that pretty often.

I know this is a short review, but I hope y’all like it anyway. 🙂
