December Wrap-UP

I didn’t read too much this past month because I’ve been in such a slump, but I managed to break out of it and get a few books read! 🙂

sweet tea and sympathy

1. Sweet Tea and Sympathy by Molly Harper

Rating: 3/5 stars

I have a full review here! I liked this book but I didn’t love it. I thought it was interesting but I thought there could have been more to the romance. This book helped me out of my slump because it was a pretty easy and good read.

renegades

2. Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Rating: 5/5 stars

I loved Heartless so I just had to pick up this book! I haven’t read a fantasy novel in a while and this book was just soooo good! I loved so many things about this book! I will have the full review up soon! I really loved the characters and now I can’t wait for the second book!

wedgie and gizmo

3. Wedgie & Gizmo by Suzanne Selfors

Rating: 5/5 stars

This is an adorable middle grade novel about an evil genius guinea pig and a super hero corgi, or at least that’s how they see themselves. It was such an adorable and cute read. It was super fast and easy to read. I was able to finish it in one day as well. This was perfect since I just read Renegades which was a pretty big book and this book was a funny and easy read so it didn’t take much concentration or focus. I find those are great for slumps or after big books to help prevent a slump! I love this book so much!

4. Why I Didn’t Say Anything by Sheldon Kennedy

Rating: 5/5 stars

This book was amazing. It’s a book about sexual assault, so for some people this might be a little too much to read. However, if you are interested I recommend this book because it’s such a powerful book about Sheldon’s story. It’s honest and real. He doesn’t sugar coat things and I think it’s a great book to help raise awareness.

I guess overall I did have a pretty good month. I’m very happy with myself and surprised I read so many books in such a short amount of time.

I am very excited to see what 2018 holds for me and I can’t wait to see how many books I read this year! I am so glad my slump is over because I am so ready to read as much as I can!

Have a great day everyone! Comment below some books you read in December 🙂
